"Kristi Boswell, congressional relations director for the American Farm Bureau Federation, has been named as a senior adviser to Agriculture Secretary-designate Sonny Perdue, who is expected to be confirmed by the Senate on Monday. She is set to begin her post at USDA on May 1. Boswell will advise the secretary on immigration and labor issues — two areas on which she focused during her tenure at the Farm Bureau — according to an email she sent announcing the move that was obtained by POLITICO Influence. Boswell is also a registered lobbyist at the Farm Bureau, where she has worked since May 2012. Under the Trump administration’s ethics rules, she may require a waiver to work on any issues on which she previously lobbied. Her last day at the Farm Bureau is April 26."
